Conntech Saab - November 2020
This section is taken from the Bike Ride 6, found in Old New England Cars, my other car blog. During this bike ride, I visited Conntech Saab, a Saab specialist located in Warwick, RI. I knew they had some classic Saabs in their lot, and they did not disappoint.

In the left picture, we have an early '80s 900. This specifically looks to be from the years 1979 to 1983, going by the front grille design. If you look closely, a silver Saab 9000 can be seen behind it.
In the bottom picture is a late '80s 900. The first year of the "Facelift" 900 was 1987, so it could be anywhere between this year 1987-1993. I like the fog lights along the front airdam.

Left to Right: 1970s Opel 1900, Saab 900 Combi Coupe, and a 1950s Studebaker Coupe
This silver 900 looks to be a parts car, considering it was parked in back with these other two classics, which we'll get to. Although some of the badging fell off at some point, It looks like it was once a standard 900 or at the very least a 900 S.
As for the other two, you wouldn't expect to find an Opel or a Studebaker at a Saab repair shop. I wonder why they had these here. I know they're also odd ball cars, but I am curious how they got there.

This was the first ever vintage Saab I had ever seen at the time this photo was taken. By vintage Saab, I mean anything pre-900. This looks to be a 1969 to 1972 model year 95, going by the hood design and fully amber turn signals. If the front fascia was still in tact, I think that would make identifying the year a bit easier.

Above: Double Trouble - Swedish Edition! 1978 Saab 99 Combi Coupe and a Saab Sonett III
I believe this maroon Saab is a 99. I'm going by the taillights, but this could also be a very early model 900 as well. Either way, its a very cool and rare Saab, as well as one that has definitely seen better days.
In front of it, you'll see a yellow Sonett III. These Sonetts are very rare to come across, especially in the wild like this. This one looks to be somewhat complete, and in better shape than the 99, but definitely could use the TLC. Hopefully one day, both of these will be restored.
