1992 Volvo 240 Estate: A 240 in Mystic!

 

While out on a day trip in Mystic, Connecticut, I came across this very nice 240 wagon parked at a shop.

This 240 has been very well preserved, and shows very little signs of wear, so props to the owner for keeping it up over the years! The only real places the car shows its age are in the usual places, like the foggy headlights and the dusty rims, but that's to be expected. 

I hypothesize this is 1992 model year car, because of the black trim pieces, specifically the door handles and liftgate hinges. There is a possibility I could be wrong, as this could be a late 1991 or 1993 model, but I feel strongly it's a '92. I wish I looked inside, because a look at the gear select mount would be the tell tale clue.
