Conntech Saab - August 2021

Similar to the entry from November 2020, I took a bike ride over to Conntech Saab to check out their lot, just to see if there were any new cars that had arrived. While there plenty new faces, there were some old ones too from the last entry. 

Early '80s Saab 900 Combi Coupe

This is my dream Saab. I love the "manhole cover" rims this has on it, and the "flatnose" design of early '80s 900s looks really nice too. In 1987, Saab updated the front end to the "facelift nose," which is a bit more common. 

I remember an '84 900 that looked exactly like this popped up on Marketplace in RI a few months prior, so there's a small chance it's the same car. 

Saabs Old and New

This black 900 is an interesting example of a "facelift" era 900.  The rims are a bit less common to see, along with the chrome trim around the windows. It's definitely a fair example of one too, as it appears to be missing a little bit of pieces. Most 900s have the sunburst rims, which you can see on the silver 900 two photos below this one. Beside it is another project Saab, a late model 9000 in red.

I believe this 900 was photographed in the last Conntech entry. Here is a closer shot of it.

Here are some more classic 900s. The silver 900 was also seen in the last Conntech entry, but I don't think we caught the convertible with the mismatched hood.

1992 Saab 900 S Convertible

Here's a pretty nice 900 'Vert, which looks to be getting work done on its top.

Saab 900 Turbo Convertible and 9-5 Aero w/ Spoiler

Both of these were in the background of one of the photos from the last Conntech entry. Now with a close up, you can see a spoiler on the 9-5 wagon. I'm not sure if it's factory or aftermarket, but it really looks good on that car. 

Saab 900 S Combi Coupe - "Saabs"

 I love the plate! Next to it is a 2000 9-5 with some nice looking rims.

I think you can see almost every model of Saab in this picture. Can you guess which Saab isn't there?
