1997 Saab 9000 CSE Turbo: Another 9000 on Campus!

Aha! The second 9000 I've ever seen, and also the second one on campus. When I was checking out a F-600 I also found on campus, I happened to look away from it and noticed the distinct rear end that is only that of the Saab 9000. Filled will joy and excitement, I walked over to this car and checked it out.

This is a very nice example of a 9000, and I as I mentioned, I was really overjoyed to see another 9000 on campus. Like the 9000 we saw earlier, (Click here) this is a CSE trim level car, a high trim level and one below the Aero, which meant you got leather seats, automatic climate control, and a turbo. The Aero included a performance tuned suspension, tuned engine, and fancier leather seats.

This car is far from perfect, but still a joy to see nonetheless. The front bumper appears to be a replacement or at the very least, a repaint. You can also see some bubbling forming around the front left quarter panel. That's pretty common for a New England car though. Hopefully it's being taken care of.

For those wondering, this was spotted in the maintenance lot on campus. It's located on the south-most end, close to the stadiums and student lots. I had time to spare between classes, and weather was rather nice on this February morning, so I decided to take a little stroll to areas I had never really explored before.

This is what I initially saw when I was looking at the old Ford truck. This tail light bar is pretty hard to miss!
