1990 Volvo 240 DL: A True Bronx Tale
Finally, a street parked 240. It took me a while to find another one, which really surprised me. I previously saw an early '80s 240 drive through town on a walk one day, but unfortunately, it was driving, and I couldn't get my phone out in time to capture a photo. Thankfully, this one was parked!
This 240 was spotted in the same vicinity as the 940 to the Hudson River, but was closer to a small park, known as Inwood Hill park. That is actually what you see in the background.
Despite the Vermont tags, this 240 was spotted in New York. I've been able to deduce its a 1990 based on the one fact that it has the antenna mounted on the rear fender instead of the windshield. This 240 was also in remarkable condition. Aside from some surface rust on the fenders, this was a very clean car. I hope the owner continues to maintain it well.
