Rare '70s Volvo 240 Spotted in Maine

This awesome find was submitted by Sam's parents, who spotted it in Maine. Although the quality is a little dark and fuzzy, this is clearly a rather special 240.

Let's try to decipher the year of this 240. Our biggest hint is the tail lights. These tail lights were used on the 240 series from 1975 to '78, with '79 seeing an update. So this narrows it down a bit. Secondly, the reflectors. The reflectors on the rear quarter signify the car was made in 1977 at the earliest. My research shows that '76 and earlier 240s didn't have the reflectors. Lastly, the color appears to be Copper Red, which was offered at the start of 1978, so that would make this a 1978 244. It would also correspond correctly with the "Virgo" rims this car rides on. While I'm nearly sure they're aftermarket, 1978 was also the first year for these style of rims.

However, I could be incorrect, and this may be a different year than what I suspect it is. If anyone has a different answer with better evidence (perhaps you're the owner), let me know!
