Saab and Volvo Spotting - Winter 2022

January 13, 2022: 2010 Saab 9-3 Sportcombi

It's a Saab, but nothing too special, just a late model 9-3 wagon I found in the city. I will say when I find a Saab wagon, it always is a nice sight. These really aged well. Call it bias, but I think this is one of the best looking modern wagons produced. Do you agree?

January 18, 2022: Driveway Time Machine! 1989 Volvo 240 Sedan and a 1993 240 Estate

Believe it or not, these photos were taken in the present day. These photos were also taken by Sam, who stumbled upon what looks to be a classic car enthusiast's dream driveway. Whoever owns these cars has a great collection of '80s classics.

Sam: "This cluster of cars resides in Providence, tucked away on a side street.  You can't go wrong with 240s, or a Caprice wagon for that matter.  I think these cars all still see some use as they've been moved around several other times I've driven by."

February 18, 2022: 2010 Saab 9-3 Aero XWD

Once again, we have a late model Saab 9-3 Aero. A 9-3 Aero spotting is always welcomed here on The Swedish Car site. I spotted this out getting Chic-Fil-A one Friday afternoon. What makes this 9-3 Aero a bit more special from others its XWD, which is a rare factory spec, only available on the 9-3.

February 21, 2022: Volvo 240 Sedan on I-95

This old Volvo brick was spotted on the move in the Attleboro area on I-95 on a trip to Boston. We were looking at schools for my sister, while I would end up spending time walking around the city and going to music shops. This 240 seems to be in the condition we find most of them in on here: worn out but still working hard. The Volvo 240 will out live us all.

March 14, 2022: 2006 Saab 9-3 Aero Sportcombi

A 9-3 Aero Wagon! I bet you already know what I'm going to say about this car, and you're probably right. Yes, I love this car. That Celica is also pretty cool too.

March 18, 2022: A Forgotten Volvo 240 Sedan

For years, I've been watching this 240 sit in this used car lot. Either it has some issues, or the shop has been waiting a real long time to list it. I for one, and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this, would love to save it. If anyone is wondering where this 240 is, I found it at Park Ave. Auto Sales and Service in Cranston. I guarantee if you drive by today, it'll be there.
